E17 Films is a platform for fort filmmakers ran by Liza Fleture. They run the Walthamstow International Film Festival and promote a love of film through screenings, workshops and community and school participation. I have shot and edited various projects for E17 Films events ranging from the Walthamstow International Film Festival (2017 & 2018) to the Future Films Festival (2018 & 2019). Likewise, I’ve also volunteered as a student tutor for the Limes Film School project targeted towards getting young people into film production.

Smartphone Life On Film (Quarantine Project)
2020

The “Smartphone: Life on Film” a project was a 3 part series for first time film makers to capture what it feels like to live life in lockdown in the Summer of 2020. The project was brought together by Liza Fletcher's Future Film Focus scheme in collaboration the Barbican.

Produced, shot and edited by Lauren, Monday and Shola, a young production team from Waltham Forest (Chingford, Leyton, Leytonstone and Walthamstow) this series of 3 tutorials and 3 online workshops will propel your ideas to a finished film using what you have to hand, your ideas, and of course, your smartphone.

With contributions from young filmmakers and professionals, the tutorials give guidance and tips on how to film for the first time, whatever your experience of film.

Limes Film School Project
2018

'The Unexpected Trip' is a short film created as part of the Limes Film Studio E17 project where I and a group of friends taught children (ages 8-13) from the local area the art of film-making. The 7 week course encouraged the children to creatively explore through writing, performing and filming this magical story of time travel. The final film was premiered at our local Empire cinema in Walthamstow.
